Window Options Paint Touch-Up
I like to clean all of the
joints and seams with an alcohol base. Remove all bubbled paint with
a dull scraper or putty knife. Any cracked or peeling paint at joints
should be peeled until remaining paint has a strong hold.

| Scuff
sand all of the areas the new paint will be touching. This includes
any detail in the wood beading. Be careful not to scratch the glass.

|
| Apply
a superior quality exterior putty to the nail holes or other areas
of concern. |
|
|
| Re-sand
any areas where putty has been applied. |
|
|
| Fill
joints or gaps with a high quality polymer or elasta-meric sealant. |

| Prep
window for priming and paint |
|
|
| Use a
touch up gun or brush for the final coat. If you have bare wood
at the glass to sash area, use an artist brush to touch up. |
